School closure on Monday, 19th March, 2018
Following further careful monitoring of the Met Office’s weather warnings, on top of the current poor conditions for our area, we have taken the decision to close both our schools on Monday, March 19th . This is in order to ensure that no child or member of staff is at risk as a result of the predicted heavy snow and subsequent very icy conditions. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused but hope that you understand that our first duty of care is to the safety and wellbeing of the school community. We do hope all will be well on Tuesday 20th March- remember to check on the Devon schools closure website.
Snow work is under the children’s section on our website. (Most children were rather busy the last time we had snow and didn’t get round to it!) Year 6, the BBC Bite size is a good site for all round work: https://www.bbc.com/education/levels/zbr9wmn and there is some useful KS 1 work too for the younger children.
And finally… if you are out and about, take care and wrap up warm!
